When I finished the program, my support team congratulated me for my achievements and several people also told me that when I first came in, I was on the brink of survival. One nurse said that I looked like I had been through chemotherapy because the alcohol and drugs had taken over my body so deeply. I was crying for help, hopeless and couldn’t even begin to imagine what will become of me in the future had I not quit my addiction. My family intervened in the nick of time.

Luckily for me, the choice of an in-patient treatment center had already been made for me. My wife and my sister investigated rehab centers within a 100-mile radius of our home.
